Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter of Peter Silk - an academic and Ilkay Silk - a talented actor who is also a director, writer and producer. Her father hails from Britain, while her mother is the "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's early memories involve attending rehearsals for plays and watching her mother's working. As a young kid, she made the rounds in various commercials. Anna was able to move to Toronto so that her acting skills could improve. In the following years, she relocated Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman met Anna at an Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. They were engaged. They married in a civil ceremony that December and they renewed their vows at the form of a Jewish wedding ceremony held in Fredericton on April 11, 2011 following Anna's conversion to Judaism.
