Sara Lynn Evans is the oldest daughter of seven and was raised in a rural region near New Franklin in Missouri. Music was always a aspect of her life, and at the age of five she was singing every weekend in her family's band. At the nightclub in Columbia Missouri, she started singing when she was just at the age of 16. The gig lasted for two years. Then in 1991, she moved from Missouri to Nashville Tennessee, with the intention of becoming an artist in country music. Musician Harlan Howard heard Sara as she sung a demo of one of his tracks Tiger By the Tail at County Q Studios and decided she should sing his music. The singer signed a deal with RCA. Evans came out with Three Chords and the Truth in 1997. Reviewers praised the album as making a return to traditional country, and recognized it on many of their top ten of lists. Unfortunately, at the time it was not popular with country radio. Three of the singles even made the top-40. Lorraine Bracco..................... After directing feature films for a time, she moved onto television shows and enjoyed great successes.
